They say all good things must come to an end. Sadly, that is true for THC '08 too. Nevertheless, we have all had our share of fun, joy and laughter for the 3days and 2 nights. And those memories shall be etched in our minds forever.=)

On behalf of THC'08 adhoc committee, here's a BIG THANK YOU to each and everyone of you who have supported us and made it a success!From our advisors,seniors, facis, station masters and of course, our enthusiastic participants!I mean 'mercenaries'!heee.

Alhamdullilah, everyone enjoyed themselves to the max and its now time for everyone to get a good rest before school reopens next week!gahhh!So fast! So if you freshies need any help whatsover regarding school stuffz, just drop us a line yeah!And of course, if you recognize us along the dimly-lit NTU corridors, just holler yeah!

Although the camp has ended, there will be of course, post-camp stuff to do.One of the things we'll be doing is burning a CD containing camp videos and all the pictures for you guys!The price(won't be much, I promise) will be confirmed aite. Just wait for updates here oksie?

MERCENARIES, IT IS TIME

The Mercenaries (camp participants) have been alerted. In a matter of hours, they will be flying from all over the world. (i.e: all over Singapore)

Please report to the Students' Activities Centre, located at the basement of the School of Biological Sciences by 2.30pm. Guy participants who have arranged to have your Friday prayers in NTU may report by 1.00p.m.

For those who are coming by public transportation, you may alight bus 179 at the Lee Wee Nam bus stop (a.k.a the McDonald's bus stop, the NTU-NIE bridge bus stop) and look out for the signs leading you to the reporting location.

Keep a look out for these:

Our friendly ushers will be located throughout the route to show you the way.

Meanwhile, those who are driving or riding may find your way to the School of Biological Sciences.

If you are lost, please contact the following personnels:

- Syafiqah (8133 3164) if you are taking the bus
- Rasyida (9687 4480) if you are driving, driven, riding or being rode

ALSO. On a more important note, please ENSURE you bring the indemnity form and a passport sized photo of yourself to be submitted during reporting. Bring along your receipts as proof of payment to claim your tshirts and goodies bags.

Ladies, please be reminded to bring along cardigans and shawl for movement in the mosque.

Based on our personal experience to, bring along a pair of socks for sleeping or you'd freeze throughout the night.

AND DARK COLOURED CLOTHING for the third day.

Please be reminded that you will receive tshirts each to be worn for the 2nd day.

Other than that, it is of utmost importance to BRING ALONG LOTS AND LOTS OF ENERGY AND ENTHUSIASM WITH YOU!!!

The clock is ticking. 2 weeks left to the congregation. Our warriors will be mobilised, and the battle will begin.

Come, my friends, as we await for the long-anticipated day. If you have not yet registered, HURRY. If you already have, we warmly welcome you.

Just a note to those who have answered the calling and join the forces. Our liaison officers (cum publicity team) should be making their calls to you regarding the fees and few paperworks to settle. If you are concerned that they have not yet contacted you, please do give them a call.

Mock Camp was a success Alhamdullilah!=))

About 20 facilitators and station-masters(SM)-to-be had fun participating in the games.From memorising crucial lines, familiarising themselves with the games, revelling themselves in the storyline..Indeed the 3 days spent together were fun and beneficial. The adhoc too, enjoyed interacting with everyone, old and new faces abound.Ultimately,we believe that the success of the camp is dependable on the having crazy and forever-hyper facis and SMs!

The debriefing conducted after every game also allowed us to garner constructive feedback and from there, we'll definitely work on the changes to be made to some of the programmes. Equally important, all of us had a feel of what it will be like during the real camp itself and I must say, 15 more days to the real camp and we are feeling excited albeit at the same time, experiencing bouts of jittery.

So here's a BIG THANK YOU for all those who came down!AND SEE YOU ALL IN 2 WEEKS!!=DD

In an hour's time, the station masters and facis will be arriving for the mock camp!*dances around* lol.

The myriad games and activities that have been planned thus far will be put to the test in the next three days.

With God's will, everything will be smooth.InsyaAllah.

Above, my friends is the camp tagline. Interpret it as you may now, but the truth awaits come 25th July...

And as the camp draws nearer, the commitee is doubling up their effort in preparing for it. The past 2 weeks have been spent on props making as well as games tryout. As I am updating you guys right now, here we are in school, diverting all our energy towards the many props needed for the camp.

The mock camp which will be to prepare our facis and station masters for the real camp itself will be happening from the 4th-6th July!Less than 2 weeks from now!

Besides that, we'll be having our last newspaper collection in Bedok Reservoir this coming Sat!Uhuh, told ya we're super busy!

Lastly, incoming freshmen have been calling us up for queries regarding the camp after receiving the freshmen orientation package and we're more than delighted to entertain their questions!

So, if u guys have any doubts, do buzz us will ya!=)

Salams!

The holidays are here and we've been very busy with the camp preparations, especially the programmers!Its just less than 2 months till the camp itself!How excitinggg!There's meetings every week and of course, we are continuing with our fundraising activities.

Just last Sat, 24th May we had a newspaper collection at Pasir Ris. A day's worth of sweat and energy resulted in a satisfying amount of money earned.Alhamdullilah=)

Here's a thank you to all those who have come down to help us in one way or another!

Besides that, we are also printing NTUMS windbreakers as part of our fundraising drive. The orders have been encouraging and we're hoping to sell them on the NTUMS Alumni dinner, this Sat, InsyaAllah=)

Heyya cool peeps!

Here's a quick update on our happenings=)

Last weekend, in a bid to raise funds for our camp, we became "kendarats" (ushers) for 3 different Malay weddings. We were divided into 3 separate groups and posted to Bedok, Tampines and Bukit Panjang. It certainly wasnt an easy feat and left us very shagged and but indeed,we were gratified with our earnings=) Alhamdullilah!

Exams are also just around the corner..slightly more than a week to be exact.*gasps!* So until then, we'll be hitting the notes and burning midnight oil..till the exams are over..which will be sometime in end of April. But one thing's for sure, we cant wait for it to be over!Cos we can then go full-steam on our foc preparations=)

The Crackdown

On the 8th of March, NTU had our openhouse to welcome potential undergraduates to take a look on what we have to offer.

"What better way for us to generate contacts for the coming camp!" we thought.

And thus, our committee looked for ways to entice all of you potential participants out there to introduce our camp to you.

Here's the breakdown of our three-pronged approach on that day!

1st) Launch of our first trailer at our NTUMS booth! It sure got everyone excited so be sure to anticipate more trailers yeah?

2nd) We got our own cast to parade around the campus (mind you, NTU is pretty big) in their costumes!We definitely managed to attract attention hehe. One of which came from Perfect10 DJ Dan Ong who said "Check that out ppl!That guy sure looks cool in his costume!"=D

Besides that, we also gave out clues to visitors asking them to collect other parts of the clues by approaching our cast. All clues are actually puzzle pieces of our FOC logo. Upon completion of the task, they will be able to redeem a notebook from our NTUMS booth.=)

3rd) Lastly, all of us got down and dirty and swapped our textbooks for clipboards as well as letting go of our inhibitions to become PROs (Public Relation Officers) for the day!We made sure that we approached EVERY single potential participant! Besides introducing the camp to them , we were also more than obliged to answer their general queries about NTU and the courses available=) Alhamdullilah,we managed to generate a very long list of contacts so we'll definitely contact you guys to keep you updated!

In addition, on that day too, we had our photoshoot for the cast and crew! We had a helluva time dressing up (haha) and posing for the camera. Trust me when I say that some of our crew were really WORKING IT!hahah. Our 'mugshots' turned out pretty cool, we think!=)

So after all the excitement, its back to meetings and whatnots. We're rigorously consolidating our camp programmes in hopes of bringing to you the best freshmen orientation camp experience ever!

The Calling

The search has begun for the warrior who has what it takes to break the code. After months of discussing the camp fundamentals, NTUMS FOC 08 is proud to make its breakthrough public appearance.

The minds behind the conspiracy had been congregating to bring this camp to you. What make this camp special are the people behind it. They are not your average joe and jane; they are really cool and fun, not to mention extremely insanely creative. Hehe.

In a bid to raise funds for our camp, the ad hoc had their newspaper collection effort last Saturday, 1st March in Tampines. It was a great success Alhamdulilah! We managed to get more than we expect, selling not only newspapers and old clothes but also a sofa and a few sets of television to the karung guni man!

Besides that, the committee has also been dedicated to produce their first trailer and sneak peek. The entire committee is involved one way or another as cast and crew members. We had the best time ever working for the skit and we realised there are hidden talents among the ad hoc members. Haha.
